“GOOD NEWS FOR THE SUFFERING: JESUS HAS KINGDOM AUTHORITY!”

(MARK 1:21-34)

 

INTRODUCTION:

I. JESUS HAS AUTHORITY OVER THE DEMONIC REALM: MARK 1:21-28,34B

“But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!”

A. His teaching has personal authority (vv.21-22)

B. His commands are obeyed (vv.23-28)

C. His mission was controlled (v.34b)

II. JESUS HAS AUTHORITY OVER DISEASE: MARK 1:29-34A

“And he healed many who were sick with various diseases”

A. His touch heals the suffering (vv.29-31)

B. His care heals the suffering (vv.32-34a)
