“Saved! Saved! Saved!”

Hebrews 7:25

The entire thrust of the Book of Hebrews is to show how the Lord Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, is superior to the entire Old Testament sacrificial system, and especially, the Old Testament priesthood.

Hebrews 7:25 tells the truth about God’s plan of salvation. It tells us how it works and what it does for the sinner and the saint. It sets the record straight and it teaches a truth that we must not miss! This verse teaches us about how God’s plan of salvation works, and how we are, “saved to the uttermost!”

Let’s think together about this glorious thought: Saved! Saved! Saved! Let’s study God’s plan, ability, and promise to save mankind

I.  God’s Plan to Save Mankind: Heb. 7:25, “Those who come to God through him”

A.  God’s plan to save was a costly plan (Mark 10:45)

B.  God’s plan to save is an accomplished plan (John 19:30)

C.  God’s plan to save is an exclusive plan (John 14:6)

II. God’s Ability to Save Mankind: Heb. 7:25, “Therefore he is able to save”

A.  God is able to call people to Jesus Christ (John 6:44)

B.  God is able to cleanse people from their sin (1 John 1:7)

C.  God is able to change people’s lives (2 Cor. 5:17)

III.  God’s Promise to Save Mankind: Heb. 7:25, ”To save them to the uttermost”

A.  Saved from the deadness of sins (Eph. 2:1)

B.  Saved from the wrath of God and torments of hell (Rom. 5:9)

C.  Saved from a wasted life that ends in tragedy (Luke 16:19-21)

D.  Saved from self-destruction and self-deception (Prov. 16:25)

What is the conclusion of the whole matter? God’s plan of salvation has the power to save from the gutter-most to the uttermost, anyone and everyone who comes to Him through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ! Have you been SAVED! SAVED! SAVED!
